Privacy Policy

How Russian Clearly handles information when you browse, study, sign in, buy materials, or contact us.

Last updated: September 9, 2026 · Version 2026-09-09

1. Who operates the service

RussianClearly.com is independently operated by an individual based in Ohio, United States ("we", "us"). Contact alexanderzemskov19@gmail.com for support, privacy requests or questions about the operator.

2. Information we handle

  • Accounts: an account identifier, email address, and name or profile information supplied through Google or email sign-in. Supabase handles authentication. Russian Clearly does not ask you to create or send us a password.
  • Learning: completed chapters, practice-check scores and dates, active study time, self-marked vocabulary, review history and fluency-portfolio totals when you use those features.
  • Agreements: your account identifier, policy versions, acceptance date and confirmation of age eligibility. We do not request your full date of birth.
  • Purchases: customer, subscription, checkout and payment identifiers, products, billing status and relevant dates. Stripe processes payment details. Our application does not store full card numbers or security codes.
  • Technical information: hosting, authentication, payment and security providers process requests, including IP addresses, browser information and service logs, to deliver and protect the service.
  • Support: your email and information you choose to send. Do not include card details, passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.

3. Recordings, writing and browser storage

Speaking practice asks for microphone permission when you start recording. The current feature keeps recordings in your browser for playback and does not upload them to Russian Clearly. Written exercises and some vocabulary notes also remain in your browser. Synchronized records contain progress and summary information rather than the recordings themselves.

We use browser storage for sessions, learning records and local notes. Browser text-to-speech may use a device or browser vendor's speech service, depending on your settings. See Cookies & Storage for controls.

4. Purposes and legal bases

We use information to authenticate accounts, deliver lessons and purchases, save progress, manage billing, record agreements, respond to requests, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the requested service, legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or consent where required. Microphone permission can be withdrawn in your browser.

5. Providers and disclosures

  • Supabase: authentication, sessions and sign-in emails through its configured email service.
  • Google: optional Google sign-in; Gmail handles messages sent to our contact address.
  • Cloudflare and the Sites hosting platform: hosting, delivery and security. Cloudflare D1 stores application records.
  • Stripe: checkout, payments, subscriptions, billing management and transaction records.

Provider notices: Supabase, Google, Cloudflare, OpenAI and Stripe. We may also disclose information as required by law, to protect rights and safety, or during a lawful transfer of the service with appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-site behavioral advertising. The current application includes no advertising pixels, third-party analytics scripts, newsletter or public community-posting feature.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain account and learning records while needed to provide your account. Visit Account privacy to export application data or delete your account. When deletion completes, active learner records and download access are removed and the sign-in account is closed. Download your purchased files and request any eligible refund first.

Limited transaction, agreement and deletion records may be retained where needed for accounting, tax, fraud prevention or disputes, restricted to those purposes. Providers may retain legally required transaction records or backups under their retention rules. Active-system deletion does not instantly remove every backup. We review retained information and remove or anonymize it when its purpose and applicable obligations end. Files and local notes on other devices remain under your control.

7. Your requests and choices

You can manage billing from your profile and export data or request deletion from Account privacy. Email alexanderzemskov19@gmail.com for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection requests where those rights apply. We may need to verify ownership. You may complain to your local data-protection authority, and we do not penalize you for exercising applicable rights.

8. Children and international use

The service is for people aged 13 or older and is not directed to children under 13. Minors need parent or guardian permission. If you believe a child under 13 supplied personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate. Providers may process information in the United States and other countries with different privacy protections.

9. Security and changes

We use authenticated requests, access controls and provider security measures. No system guarantees absolute security. Changes will be reflected in this policy, and a new version will be presented in the account flow when appropriate. We will explain material changes and obtain consent where required before applying them.
